Tajin was founded in 1985 by Horacio Fernandez. The seasoning is inspired by Fernandez's grandmother's signature chile sauce; Fernandez was determined to preserve the flavors of the sauce in an easy-to-distribute format so that everyone could enjoy its irresistible taste. Once he developed a special process to dehydrate the limes and chiles, Fernandez began selling the product by the bottle locally and the rest is history! Due to its overwhelming success in the Mexican market, Tajin hit the U.S. markets in 1993 where it quickly gained popularity and continued to expand. Perfect for your ethnic or fusion cooking!
