Yellowbird began in 2012 by a musician and an artist, George and Erin, in Austin, Texas as a passion project. With a shared love for healthy and spicy food, they left behind their day jobs and focused on creating the most delicious spicy condiment possible.

“We created a homegrown habanero hot sauce with one goal—to satisfy our curious craving for flavorful spice. It took years, but eventually we perfected this flavor down to the seeds of each ingredient, obsessing over every batch filled with peppers grown in our own backyard garden.

Since then, we’ve grown to heroically spicy heights. As we flew from farmers markets to supermarkets, we built strong ties with farmers and people who take pride in obsessing over flavorful ingredients as much as we do.

What’s up with the name Yellowbird? Birds are notoriously unbothered by the heat from spicy peppers (we like to think we're the same, when we're bragging), and there's even a specific pepper called the Yellow Bird Pepper that is so small and so hot that it's solely eaten by birds. As such, the Yellowbird of Yellowbird Sauces is meant to represent what's spiciest, courageous, and fiery in this world. Try it... if you dare.“
