Hot Head Salsa is a series of fermented vegan hot sauces, all handcrafted in Amsterdam. The idea was born out of a passion for spicy food and an unquenchable curiosity for experimentation. At Hot Head Salsa we are focused on the art of fermentation, small batches, and fresh organic ingredients directly from our trusted farmers. The results are artisanal products that are always developed with love.

Hot Head Salsa's found Kevin has background in medicinal chemistry which ignited his interests in food science. With his mission "good food is worth waiting for", Kevin wants to show that fermented products enable an added value to our eating experience in many different ways.

What happens with our ingredients on a molecular level? What are the health benefits of particular food preparations? By breaking down large molecular structures (e.g. carbohydrates and proteins) into the smaller essential building blocks we need (e.g. sugars and amino acids), a whole new set of flavours are released which causes a greater taste sensation in our mouth.

Additionally, our body can more easily use these building blocks, which stimulates digestion and results in more available nutrients. Lastly, the fermentation process also increases the shelf life of ingredients as it is considered as a natural conservation method. Tasty, healthy and sustainable!
