Organic and fair trade brown rice vinegar.
Made from unpolished brown rice, this version of rice vinegar is reputedly richer in nutrients. It can often be used in place of white rice vinegar.
Why we love it: Rice vinegar should be a staple in every pantry - wonderful for homemade salad dressing and Asian style dipping sauces. Rice vinegar is generally less acidic than other vinegars and has a milder, sweeter flavor.
Fair trade Hom Mali whole grain Thai rice grown by microfarms in northeastern Thailand, Sisaket. Natural fermentation for 4 to 6 months, 5% acidity. A great flavor enhancer, it enhances soups, broths and woks, maintains the color and brilliance of vegetables when cooked, provides a note of freshness to balance dishes, is an ideal base for dressings.
